Back to Work

Dragon*Con has come and gone and my incredible editor extended my deadline a month due to the breakin. Yay! Our life is slowly getting back to normal and tonight—September 3rd—I start back on PHANTASM, the third in the Zoë Martinique Investigation series.

After PHANTASM I'll be editing up another submission for BattleTech website, then ramping up on the Shadowrun novel, TRIPTYCH. I'll give a clean paragraph on that once I can actually upgrade this site from home—right now I'm still without software—since it was stolen.

Jerks.

I do plan on more free fiction for the site, and Out Of The Dark might be seeing itself as a Kindle Edition, and as a PDF from this site.

Break In

Last week, one day after returning to Atlanta from San Francisco, low lifes broke into our house and stole a fortune in electronics. Including all of my computers, my backup drives, my DANA, my PDA, and my back up disks—now what uneducated low lifes like that want with past writing is beyond me. Since they left a pile of books and took just the movies and no CDs, I can only imagine they can't read. If I haven't answered your email or haven't been responsive at all, it's because we're trying to put our life back together.

Soon as things right themselves, I'll try and re-establish correspondence. Thank you for your patience.

NEWSLETTER NOT WORKING

I'd like to make an apology about the newsletter function of this website. It's never worked properly and the administration server went down a few months ago. So until Stone Creek Media can give me a tutorial or I can do a bit of work on it, you can still send me an email at the contact link and I can store your return email address.

Again, I do apologize for that, and as soon as it's working, I'll be posting out an update on Zoë!

A little note from me...

Apparently I have delusions of granduer—but only in the sense I think I can get a million things accomplished with the time and energy of only a 1/4 million.

And for that, I do apologize.

When I started out with OUT OF THE DARK, I thought I would just take the novella (the back end) that followed WRAITH and just copy/paste it up on the site. Well....not so fast. I discovered too late that six years of writing (since the first book's original creation) plus the addition of a new book changed a lot of the story.

And so after several writing marathons on other paid projects, as well as creating a whole new book not related to Zoë, I took some time and decided to give this one more chance. What follows is OUT OF THE DARK, with a few rewrites to earlier chapters as well, hoping to give it a bit more coherency.

I'm not promising any real revelations—but I will say if you like TC, this is about as much as you'll get from him till Book III.
